SAVE OUR SPORT. Brussels wants sea anglers to be subject to the disastrous Common Fisheries Policy, imposing quotas on recreational fishermen limiting the number of fish they are allowed to catch. Each EU state will be given a quota for each protected species and national governments would then decided how this would be shared between commercial fishermen and anglers. The EU are to debate on the matter in April 09. Please to write to your MEP warning that if he or she does not support CFP exemption for recreational anglers, they won't get your vote in the Euro elections on 4 June. To sign a petition go to http://www.ukip.org/content/european-issues/894-join-our-fight-for-rights-of-anglers and also download and distribute the poster.

The EAA and Hastings & St Leonards Angling Association (HSAA), now have a reciprocal arrangement for members to use each others club facilities free of charge. EAA members wishing to visit HSAA should carry their EAA card, ring the buzzer at the front door and explain they are a EAA member. http://www.hslaa.co.uk/
