 Another Great fish caught by Mick Powell a 9lb Bass off the boat

 Neil Blackford Caught a Beautiful Bass of 14lb 3oz Another Club Record Achieved.

Well Done Neil!!

 

 

Rod Parris caught this Small Eyed Ray from a Boat off of Eastbourne.  The whopping 11.5lb Ray was caught on Herring.  This is a specimen fish and probably a club record!!

Club Boat Hire

 

Provided you become an angling member of the club you can hire a boat like the one shown below for £3 per person + £7 for a 10hp engine per day, the hire includes an anchor, rope and oars. You will need to provide fuel, oil and personal safety equipment see Going Afloat  (you will need to be a full member to hire a boat)

Competition Information: To encourage members of all abilities and area knowledge to enter club competitions, new rules have been introduced for 6 of the competitions. The new rules are that all boats will only fish in a Commodored area 500yds around the East Buoy by the Tower. To allow for slow boats, rather than starting and finishing times from the beach, times will be lines down at the commodored area at 9:30 and lines up at 3:15 Competition Section

 

 

Bass size: Would all members please observe that the NFSA rules state the minimum landing size of Bass which is 41cm 16". Failure to observe the minimum landing length could result in a substantial fine and your boat being confiscated by DEFRA.

The boat yard opening times have been revised please follow this link to view the conditions and opening times. 

If you require work to be done, or launch & retrieval outside these times, it will have to be by mutual arrangement between yourself and the Boatman. The association will not fund these out of hour’s activities.

 

 

Whenever possible please conserve fish stocks by operating a catch and release policy.

The Area off the Club has very good fishing grounds. Summer Cod and Bass are very prolific using Pirks, Feathering and Live Bait. Winter Cod move in very close to the shore. Typical bait is Worm, Squid & Cuttle. Bait can be obtained by calling the Boatman on 07760100200
